What Happened with GirlsDoPorn?
Over the years, the GirlsDoPorn operation recruited women, many aged 18 to 21, with false promises of modeling or private video work. Instead, videos were produced and publicly distributed without consent, exposing survivors to public scrutiny, harassment, reputational harm, and psychological trauma.
In June 2025, Michael Pratt, the founder and leader of the GirlsDoPorn enterprise, pleaded guilty to charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, as well as conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.
On September 8, 2025, the court sentenced Pratt to 27 years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
Many other co‑defendants connected to the scheme have also been convicted and sentenced:
- Matthew Wolfe — 14 years
- Ruben Andre Garcia — 20 years
- Theodore Gyi — 4 years
This case is one of the highest-profile modern examples of a sex trafficking scheme tied to pornography, where false promises, coercion, threats, and manipulation were central to the recruitment, filming, and distribution process.
