Micha Star Liberty was pleased to present at the recent San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (SFTLA) seminar at Lake Tahoe, which took place the weekend of February 24-26, 2012. This event was the first ever travel education seminar of the New Lawyers Division of SFTLA.
Ms. Liberty’s presentation focused on the importance of open and direct communication between attorneys and their clients. Areas covered included initial contact with potential clients, strategies for maintaining effective communication throughout representation, and possible problems and conflicts that may arise.
Earlier this month, the California Client Communications Manual, a book on similar topics was published by California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) to be used as a reference for attorneys across the state.
Ms. Liberty also appeared recently in a video produced by CEB discussing her contribution to the manual, with a particular emphasis on client letter writing and forms. The video can be found here.
