A San Diego man has filed a lawsuit against the Coalition of Neighborhood Councils and several board members of a nonprofit organization he worked for, claiming he was terminated because he is gay. In the lawsuit, Dwayne Crenshaw says that he was terminated because of his sexual orientation after discussions came up among board members involving California’s Proposition 8. After the board fired Crenshaw, the organization’s general members voted to have him reinstated, but the board refused to do so. The board has not given a reason for his termination.
