A California woman has filed a lawsuit against Abercrombie & Fitch, claiming she was fired from a Hollister store after refusing to remove her headscarf, which she wears as a member of the Islamic faith. According to the lawsuit, managers at her store allowed the plaintiff, who worked in the stock room, to wear the hijab as long as it was in Hollister colors. A visiting manager, however, demanded she remove the scarf and fired her when she refused, the suit says. The plaintiff is seeking unspecified damages.
